I simply don't know how to take the easy path in life. I've weed wacked my way through thick brush and razer wire, following a path laid out for me in the stars or in the depths of my autistic brain. I'm marching to the beat of a drummer who is too flamboyantly eccentric to fit into any other band.
I've always been willing to lose it all to be myself, and I sure have lost at all at times. I hope to be a beacon of light for those who simply want to be authentically and fully themselves and who are unwilling to sacrifice their morals to fit into a system never designed to contain them. The vast majority of my career has been in service to the underdog, whether in homeless services, HIV care, LGTBQIA healthcare, or intellectual disability services. I have been driven throughout my life by a deep sense of purpose around helping others.
I learned along the way that I have a unique brain that is uncommonly geared towards creating systems, organizing, and creating safe spaces for people. I genuinely get joy out of helping folks with their businesses, organizing their homes, finding solutions to the challenges of folks lives.
One of the most important shifts in my life since Covid happened is I refuse to limit myself or define myself by my place in capitalism. I find work that brings me meaning and financial abundance enough to survive and beyond that my focus is on creating community, connecting folks for mutual aid, and expressing myself.
As for the basics of my story I can say I grew up in a college town in Central Pennsylvania, lived for a decade in Philadelphia, was nomadic for a while post Covid and have been settled in Baltimore fulltime since 2023. I recently purchased my own home, where I live with my two cats and dog, Twilight. I use she/her pronouns and identify as a genderqueer woman.
